Each coin is meticulously struck from either 1oz of 99.9% pure silver in proof quality.

Magnificient 2015 Year of Monkey Design In Colour

The reverse depicts an adult monkey with a baby monkey holding a peach, symbolic of longevity and immortality. The monkeys are shown in brilliant color. The Chinese character for “monkey” and the inscription “Year of the Monkey” also appear in the design with the Perth Mint’s traditional “P” mintmark.

The obverse portrays the Ian Rank-Broadley likeness of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, surrounded by the date, face value and Silver weight and purity.

Australian Legal Tender

Issued as legal tender under the Australian Currency Act 1965.

Limited Mintage

The 1oz 2016 Year of the Monkey Coloured Proof Edition has an issue limit of 9,000 from a maximum mintage of 10,000.
