The Australian Silver Kookaburra series of coins is an ongoing issue of beautiful .9999 fine silver bullion coins from Australia’s famous Perth Mint that celebrates one of the country’s great national symbols: the Kookaburra.
Native to Eastern and Southern Australia, these iconic birds are the largest members of the Kingfisher family and are known across Australia for their distinctive song and for the tenacity with which they defend their nests. Since their introduction in 1990, Silver Kookaburras have been prized by collectors who eagerly await the unveiling of a new design each year.
All Kookaburra Silver Coins come encased in a clear hard plastic case in its original setting to keep the quality of the coins in pristine condition.

The reverse of each 2020 1 troy oz Silver Australian Kookaburra coin features a Kookaburra perched on a rooftop during Sunrise.
The Perth Mint’s “P” mintmark and year-date are included in the design.
The coin’s obverse bears the Kookaburra back from the prior years and the Ian Rank-Broadley effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II on its obverse, and the monetary denomination.
