Description
As a native Australian tree-dwelling marsupial, a koala can spend as many as 18 hours a day napping and resting. Well adapted to its surroundings, their thick woolly fur protects them from both the heat and cold, even acting as a raincoat in wet seasons. In an ideal habitat, male koalas can live for approximately 10 years, while females may live a few years longer.
