Description
Symbol of good fortune
Lunar New Year is celebrated on 10 February 2024 when we welcome back the Year of the Dragon. One of the most auspicious animal signs in lunar astrology, the mythical dragon is believed to bestow bravery, ambition, intelligence, and good fortune on those born under its influence.
Lunar dragon design
This carefully crafted pure gold bar features a minted impression of a lunar dragon on a patterned background. The sinuous, heavily-scaled creature is about to grasp a flaming pearl, a symbol of wisdom. Included in the design is the inscription ‘DRAGON’ and the Chinese character for dragon.
The back of the bar is stamped with The Perth Mint’s London Bullion Market Association registered mark, a stylised swan symbolising our 125 year-old reputation for quality. The logo and the bar’s weight and fineness appear on the same background pattern.
Tamper-evident packaging
This minted bar is housed in tamper-evident packaging which will display the word VOID around the edge of the blister if the card has been prized open. The card is charcoal-coloured with a dark, watermark-like image of the Mint’s stylised swan logo.
