Prominently featured on the obverse of the coin will be China’s beloved panda. The design on the 2015 coin is similar to last year’s issue, featuring a single panda bear, however the weight and purity are absent from the coin’s face. The reverse side of the coin transports viewers from the pandas’ native habitat to the city of Beijing, with an uncanny rendition of China’s celebrated Temple of Heaven. This stunning replica captures every major architectural element of this religious landmark, including its three-tiered gable.
