Lunar Dragon Design
The obverse side of the coin features the effigy of Queen Elizabeth II by Ian Rank-Broadley in the center of the coin. In the circular border of the coin, the words “Elizabeth II and Australia” is highlighted. At the bottom of the coin, the legal tender value of the 1/2oz gold coin is indicated, which is 50 Australian Dollars, together with the year of the mintage, 2012, and the purity and weight of the coin, 1/2oz and .9999 gold.
Australian Legal Tender
The coin is issued as legal tender under the Australian Currency Act 1965. The coin’s obverse bears the Ian Rank-Broadley effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II on its obverse, and has the face value of 50 Australian Dollars.
